Our story dice kit is a bit of a remix of the well-known Story Cube, but made in France and plastic-free.
The official version contains 9 dice, but our version is designed for children, with 3 dice of 3cm each: one “character” die, one “action” die, and one “place” die.
The idea is simple: you have 3 dice, giving you a total of 18 illustrations.
You roll the dice and get one of 216 combinations. The goal is then to tell a story that includes the 3 illustrations. Each person tells their story, and it’s up to the players themselves to choose the winner at the end of the round.
Choose your criteria: is the funniest story the winner? Or the most inventive? Or maybe the scariest?
For younger players, there’s a variant where you compete for the best drawing that combines all the images instead of telling a story!
This game is really for the whole family, with no exemptions for the TikTok-obsessed teenager or the accountant brother-in-law who’ll remind you that the term is “seniarii” and not “scenarios”. If you’re alone, you can even play against your friend “Chat GPT”, with the only risk being it gives you the plot of Avatar.
We even got into the game with the Alea Jacta Est team, even though we aren’t the type to tell stories (except when it comes to seeing if this project is profitable). Let’s just say this story dice kit can perfectly accompany an aperitif.
